Nigerian Political woes
Related to country: Nigeria

Political war will it help us go any further?
well,
the current political war wagging between the president and the vice president brings a lot of concern to all and sundry especially now that we are about getting to an important period " Election 2007"
i pray that all be well with the nigerian polity as it is heated up now.
Why do they disgrace thier selves rather than spend the money into Information technology , lets say embrace the i laptop per child project going on all over the world and be remembered for life or provide jobs for the teamming unemployed youths . spread loans for peasant farmers and traders .Encourage farming and enterprenuership.
i think we can all deveolp from that

Potical power flexing within constitutional limits are a welcome development!!
I read with awe the comment which you posted above. I cannot help but to laugh at your naiveity at what is currently going on between the president and his Vice!
As far as I am concerned, the political power flexing of muscles between Atiku and his boss President Obj are within constitutional provisions and do not cost us a dime (at least as far as the balance in our accounts show). Have you forgotten so soon the part that Atiku played in preventing (or was it subverting) the third-term agenda of Obj? Were Nigerians in their millions not hailing the development of NO third term? Was it not the same national assembly that Atiku used (or manipulated) to hatch his selfish (if you like, cruel) machinations to prevent an otherwise, constitutional request by the president?
Well, let me remind you, politicians all over the world are known not to forget so soon, nor do they forgive. No matter the tightness of the constitution (that of the US being a case in focus here), they always find a CONSTITUTIONAL means of avenging. This case is not different. So long as they do not send hired assasins to slaughter one another, so long as they dol not invite political thugs to rattle the relative peace that we now enjoy, who cares what accusations they throw at each other, in a bid to preventing someone who is perceived not suitable to occupy the prestigious seat of PRESIDENT.
In my view, we the electorates are the better for it. For they will wash their dirty linens in public(national assembly, media) only for you and I to make up our minds regarding the kind of President (or Leaders) we should vote. Until that time, we will never enjoy the REAL dividends of democracy and therefore your LAPTOP PER CHILD project may never come to fruition, nay ICT.
Rejoice my friend, the days of POLITICAL BIG-THIEVES rather than BIG-WITS is coming to an end, by their own making and by ALLAH'S GRACE!!!
I have a big dream that election 2007 will produce for us a messiah!! Need I add more?
