The year 2006 Lobeku New Yam festival is one that has a good grip on my memory. I was invited by a friend , It was colourful.Different dances and the rich culture of Cross River state and Nigeria was displayed.
The beautiful maidens were all present dancing to the african rythmn.
This is to signify the beginning and release a new Yam. A staple food in these areas.
I must commend The Governor Donald Duke for The part he has played towards hosting this event
